Hey.
When starting my computer it comes up with the computer wasnt shut down properly last time how do you want to start up: safe mode, last known good config, normally, etc.

if i choose normally it shuts down straight away,
if i choose safe mode it gets to mup.sys the same thing happens

if i take some of the ram out sometimes it starts up and if not then i put it back and this sometimes fixes the problem.
this morning i took out the ram that was in my computer and put some other ram and it worked fine. is there a way to fix this?

i have m2n68-vm mother board, and 2 1gb stick of ram.

once it is on it works fine.

Download Memtest86 (choose the ISO download located near the bottom of the page)-burn the ISO file to a CD.
https://www.memtest.org/
Install one stick of RAM-Boot from the Memtest CD.

Did you test one stick at a time? Did you let it run for several passes? Have you tried booting the PC with one stick at a time?
What is the brand and specs of the RAM that will not let the PC boot?
Are you certain that RAM is compatible with your Mobo?
