I have this motherboard:

And I got this RAM:

I've only got that 1 stick of RAM in, and my computer boots and runs fine, but it says theres only 512 MB. What can I do to fix this?

It almost sounds like your motherboard will only accept double rank modules and the stick of memory you have is a single rank module.

i heard a while ago about ECS motherboards being picky with ram such as brands and stuff. i know it seems a bit confusing but some people actually have encountered this issue.
