basically what the title says. i've turned on my pc as normal and all the lights are on but nobody's home. the tower has power, the fans start, the light on the monitor is on....gets to motherboard screen where asks to either hit tab or del and...nothing...

when press tab or del nothing happens...i cant even get it into safe mode to do anything else.

i have tried to think if i have done anything different the last week...the speakers were taken out and put back but apart from that nothing!

any ideas as to what the problem is???

Usually your computer will beep at you when it gets to the motherboard start up screen (this actually called the post screen) is there any extra beeps than the usual beep?

And could you tell us what this pc is by listing its specifications.
