Hello. I have a question. When i left game running Metro Exodus for hours ,like 12-30 hours,it will crash after that time. Sometimes after 12 hours,20 hours or 30 hours.
Crash is something about c0000005 - memory access violation.

NULL POINTER WRITE.

Not driver crash. Event log nothing about driver crash. Just BUGTRAP crash.

Screens from debugger:

Is my hardware ok? I dont have any crashes in other games or benches. Realbench passing too ,memtest no errors. I am on newest nvidia drivers.Using MSI AFTERBURNER + RTSS.

Somebody said that this to me:"any game should not be crash no matter how long you play or idle...

A cursory review, if the crash doesn't happen elsewhere, and happens only on this game, specifically with a Memory error, I'd probably attribute it to the App, in your case the game.

However to be safe, a memtest on the Memory modules will stress and test the memory completely.

It's a bug in the game graphics, related to nVidia's Hairworks. Disable Hairworks and complain to nVidia/4A Games.

Somebody said that this is caused by XMP profile enabled. Trust him or not?

Possible but unlikely, as he said "BSOD with the typical suspects (IRQ not less or equal; Page Fault bla bla... )". Way different scenario to yours (his may be ASUS/nVidia bloatware?), no clues as to how he's so sure ...

I use XMP as a starting point, not as an unchangeable set of numbers.

No company tests their games to destruction in marathon sessions, it's not warranted with only one person on the planet abusing them with such ridiculously long unattended session times.

Play games, shutdown. Sleep, eat, work, study, exercise. Start PC, play games, shutdown. Sleep, eat, work, study, exercise.

Somebody said this to me:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce...ss-violation-/

"Remove all but 1 stick of RAM. Repeat the process to repeat the error. Swap that stick for the next stick and repeat. Do this until all sticks have been tested. IF all sticks have the SAME error then either they are all bad or they are all good. With a single stick, the Error should appear faster. This will be because OoM = Out of Memory error which is a LEAK generally within the GAME not releasing data from the memory. If the Error takes the Same length of time, Disable the AUDIO systems and repeat the test for the Error. "

So my ram is bad?
