I read this post.

(links are dead sadly)

So this is the situation years ago I advised a friend to buy a Q35M-S2 in combination with an E2180 a very easy to OC cpu. When the parts were delivered I helped assemble the parts and OC the cpu a good amount.

Now a wile back the mobo + cpu combo from above found their way back to me but frustratingly the apparently the OC options have been ruined in some bios update. Now I can't find the correct bios with all the oc options. It seems the latest bios version for this board with propper OC support was F7a which is nowhere to be found on the gigabyte servers (along with F3, F3a, F3r have gone missing).

So I'm hoping someone still has a copy of that bios stored somewhere or still have that board to extract it from it (can easily be done with the qflash function and an usb stick).

Thanks!

There's no F7A on that website to be found, just the regular F7 + the site basically links back to gigabyte.

I've already done that search extensively. Almost all "promising" links just link back to gigabyte servers aka a dead end. The few links to different sources are all dead.

I just searched the net and found the F7 BIOS, is that the one you need ?

Code:
download.gigabyte.us/FileList/BIOS/motherboard_bios_ga-q35m-s2_f7.exe
Copy and paste the above in a browser, I'm guessing this is probably the one you need..

Once upon a time Gigabyte used the "a" to designate the bios was a beta once it became mainstream the "a" was dropped.

The reason I signed up to this forum was to try and see if I could contact skarfaze and see if he could supply a copy.

But that that hasn't produced any results.

So yes I'm sure it exists or well it did anyway.
