OS: Windows 10



Hi,
Present BIOS in my Laptop is V1.01 and the latest version of BIOS is V 1.21 (Release Note: Improve System Performance).
There are few versions in between.
V1.07 (Release Note: Update EC to v2.1)
V1.09 (Release Note: Fix when force shutdown in os then power on, system sometimes hangs at logo)
V1.13 (Release Note: Update EC to v2.2)
V1.16 (Release Note: Improve system performance)
V1.18 (Release Note: Support new MXIC MX25L6473FM2I-08G flash rom, Update n16s-gtr x32 vbios to 82.08.6D.00.88)
V1.19 (Release Note: Update N16S-GTR x 16 vbios to 82.08.6D.00.29)
I am new for upgrading BIOS. Should I upgrade it, as there is particularly system performance improvement involve.
If I upgrade it, please guide me for hassle free execution.

Key issues affecting a BIOS upgrade, bad download, loss of power, old hardware, damaged hardware and an over enthusiastic user.

It's usually a quick and easy procedure and runs without a hitch unless one of the above mentioned issues occurs.. If all the above are good, then read through all the documentation provided clearly multiple times and then perform an upgrade.

You'll probably not notice the improvement anyway, depending on your use case. Read and understand the documentation that accompanies the download. As tristar put it, an over enthusiastic user is one of the things that causes havoc. In my experience, they tend to impatiently skip the accompanying literature and that's when things go wrong.
