Alright here is my problem. Im fixin a friends computer and it keeps trying to boot from the network adaptor(using pxe). This fails and then it says disk boot failure, etc, (im sure you all kno what im talkin about). Ive tried insertin an xp cd, but i get the same option. I even went into bios to change the boot order, and made the cd rom 1st to boot, but still that same message.

THe only weird thing is that in bios, the hdd nor the cd rom is listed under the ide devices. I checked and made sure that everything was plugged in, but bios still doesnt detect these two drives. Any help would be appreciated. thank you

Hi Varu1083 and welcome to TSF, it would help greatly if you listed the computer specs. motherboard make and model, cpu, memory type and amount, types of drives IDE or SATA, ect. Thanks Mike
