I keep getting a disc read error when I put in my windows disc and I have tried IDE/SATA cables, tried using multiple windows discs and tried using multiple DVD Roms. What could be wrong?

check for scratches and clean the disk
is it saying cannot read the disk or telling you to insert a disk
if it's the latter remove the upper and lower filters

Its not the disc, I have used the discs lately. I have 3 windows discs and none of them are working.

you reset the cmos? pop the battery out for 30 min after you unplug and destatic yourself
and try a new ribbon cable

AND I already sent the mobo back once because of this and now I'm realizing maybe it wasn't a bad mobo. I just can't see what I could be doing wrong...
