So my computer has been freezing randomly for over half a year now and I have no idea what is wrong with it. It freezes seemingly randomly sometimes in use sometimes when monitor is in sleep (idle).

When it freezes in use and audio is playing it will make a loud static sound, I/O will turn off, however fans led's and power indicator lights remain on.

When it freezes in idle the I/O will simply lose power and i cannot wake the computer back up. fans, led's and power indicator lights also remain on.

Computer Specs:

Intel I5 2500k
Asus P8P67 Motherboard
Gskill 2x4GB F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL
XFX HD 6870 1GB GPU
XFX 750W Core PSU
WD 1TB Caviar Black HDD (7200rpm)

Some additional information: The drivers are all updated, I've replaced my hdd once, tested with a different video card with same problems, replaced motherboard, brought it to a computer repair shop who didn't know what was wrong and couldn't help...

But maybe someone here does? If anyone has had a similar problem or can give me some ideas of what to do I'd be grateful.

My System

Download CPU-Z and install.

Post a screenshot of the Memory tab.

I would also suggest testing the memory for several passes using Memtest86+ Advanced Memory Diagnostics

What BIOS version are you currently running?

I should also note when it freezes in idle the monitor obviously does not detect a source. Will post screenshot shortly.
