I upgraded Motherboard and CPU to the Z390 and i9 9900K, I have two Gigabyte GTX1080 G1 gaming cards in SLI, on cold boot I get the 1 long 3 short beeps which I know is GPU related, but my question is why only on cold boot, and this sometimes is also random. On every restart it does not do it. Very weird . thanks

Do you have the latest BIOS for the motherboard?

Most likely motherboard related, or possibly power. Has this ever worked? Have you tested with a single card?

Thanks for the reply, I shall try it with one card and see what I get. It works when it wants to, that's the weirdness about it. First thing in the morning it will do its beeps, if I restart it won't do it. After work when I get home it does not do it. I am almost thinking its something to do with temp as it does it when cold is around.

I suppose the question I would ask is - did you have these two GPU's running in SLI before your upgrade to Z390/9900k?

Keep in mind, the 9900k coupled with two high end GPU's that you seem to use as a daily driver would require very clean stable power delivery in the form of a high quality gold/plat 850-1000w+ PSU. What power supply are you using?
