Hi everyone,

I'm looking to finally get rid of my the cable that connects to me to my home internet. I'm looking to buy something like this: e-tec.at / WLAN Extern (USB) / Edimax EW-7811Un, 150Mbps, USB 2.0, super mini

Let me know what you think

Generally, you get more stability and reliability with a name brand . . NetGear or dLink

The computer and the wireless modem are in the same room. The distance between them is like three meters. No walls between the two.

Should work fine! I have never used one that small so worried about distance being a factor!

hard to say . . too many variables. Probably not noticeable just surfing the internet, downloading may suffer a bit . . biggest slowdown would be file sharing with other pc's on the network
