iPad 'cross' cable

This is a discussion on iPad 'cross' cable within the Cabling and Network Cards forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. I couldn't find a section that really fit this problem, but 'cabling' comes close. I bought a JVC video camera

I couldn't find a section that really fit this problem, but 'cabling' comes close.

I bought a JVC video camera that allows scoreboard information to come from an iPad directly in to the camera through a 'cross' cable connected to a USB port on the camera. (The jvc manual calls it a 'cross' cable)

Long ago I used a 'crossover' cable to connect 2 PCs, so I;m assuming this must be something similar. but when I search for an 'ipad cross cable' all I get are power/sync cables like the one I got with the iPad. The camera does not recognize that anything is plugged in to it when I use this sync cable.

So, does anyone know where I can get a 'cross' cable?

I've never heard of one. Sounds like a proprietary cable only used by JVC. Does the manual include a parts list?
