Hello,

I recently purchased a Dell Laptop (I have no other info) and I have a Canon Pixma MP280.

I need to know what type of cord I need to connect them or some kind of USB. I really need to get them connected as soon as possible.

The cord I had for my last laptop was compatible, but not to this laptop.

Can someone please help

That printer uses a standard USB connection. The cable which worked on the old laptop should also work with the new laptop.
