YouTube HD?

This is a discussion on YouTube HD? within the Modems/Cable/DSL/Satellite forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. Not sure where to post this question. How do you make YouTube always show videos in HD? Weirdly, I can't

Sorry. Should have specified: the videos are old and show an outdated version of YouTube. In the current version when you go to setting and playback, you are not given the option to upgrade resolution.

The only way to view videos in HD is if they were uploaded in HD. An old video is still an old video....nothing you can do to clear up an old video.

IF there are numerous quality streams available, you can select from the menu at the bottom of the video screen. Depending on your profile config, it will remember your choice. If there isn't an HD stream available, then you don't get an HD stream.
