This is a discussion on Xfinity go app within the Modems/Cable/DSL/Satellite forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. We have Comcast Xfinity for our home cable and internet. I have the xfinity TV go app on my iPad
We have Comcast Xfinity for our home cable and internet. I have the xfinity TV go app on my iPad that while on my home network I can get all the channels but when we are away on a non-Comcast wifi we can't get all the channels some are blocked and I get a message that they are only available while at home. I was told the only way to watch them while we are away from home is to fool the network to think I am on Comcast/Xfinity network IP.
Can I change my connection IP config to look like I am on Xfinity network or will I have to find a way to connect to my home modem/router and stream it from there. Not sure how to do any of this but hoped there was an easy work a round. I would like to watch our NHL team while I am out of town but that is one of the channels that are blocked.
You would need to set up, and likely pay for, a VPN in between your home router and Ipad. Possible, but not something for the layman. You would need to have your own stand along router (not a Comcast gateway) and it would need to be compatible with the VPN service, like OpenVPN. Also, its technically against ToS, so not sure why the ISP support person even mentioned it.

Redirect virus, bcod, and missing drive path after recovery A few days ago after running a google search I was being directed elsewhere from my results. I figured it was a redirect virus since I'd had one a couple months ago that led to the first bsod. I rebooted in safe mode and I used TDSSKiller to remove it then and it worked out, or so I thought. ...
