Hello All,

Maybe I am old school and not forward thinking but the company I work for is wanting to ditch a wired Internet provider for our satellite offices and go with a wireless Internet provider. It will have to do phones and data, including analog faxes (converted to and from IP). It will also have to VPN tunnel back to our corporate.

Am I crazy for thinking this is not a suitable business internet solution? Or is that just the old school of thought?

Thanks,
prenger

Until recently, I'd say that the price difference would huge (in regards to data). I don't know if wireless providers support VOIP or FAX. A phone call or two would likely answer what services they provide and most importantly the cost. Which from a business standpoint is generally the most important factor.

You want a MPLS network not a wifi one for inner office communication.
