Hi there, my girlfriend and I just moved, and she had a router that she was using a day before we moved. The day after we moved in, I tried to set it up, and I found out it looks like this:

The DC-in port is the 2nd from the left, and as you can see it's unusable. She packed it in the original box, so I don't see how it could have been damaged.

The model is an ASUS RT-N66U router.

Any thoughts? Has anything like this happened to anyone before? Any ideas for repairs/workarounds?

Hi,

Can you show us a close up of the socket and the plug that goes in it, please?

I see no indication of damage. The adapter should have a tiny (4mm diameter) jack plug that goes right in and fits snug. Any bigger or smaller plug won't fit.

Egh... turns out she packed some other DC adapter in the router box, and then packed the router's DC adapter in her printer box. That confused the hell out of me...
