Hi,



I cant log in to my router when on a wired connection over wifi is fine but when on wired windows 7 reports as a unidentified network. any ideas???

OS: Windows 10 Pro, Linux, Windows 7 Pro. Work systems - W2K, XP, Win7, RHEL, Solaris.

My System


With the Ethernet cable plugged into the router, open a command prompt then type ipconfig /all then post the output.

If your Ethernet connection is showing a IP address starting with 169.254.x.x then power cycle the router, by removing the power adapter wait about a minute then reapply power to the router.

Wait another minute, then do another ipconfig /all
