I've used Wentutu Start Menu to replace Modern UI for a week, will it effect my laptop's run speed? Should I keep using it or uninstall it and run pure Windows 8?

I will have to look at these UI's but I would recommend not doing much with Windows 8 for the time being. From everything that people are saying and my own experience with it 8 isn't going to be good for the home user.
