A PC has to have a CPU cooler installed. If not the high temps of not being cooled with damage/kill the CPU and possible other system components.

There's 3 typical kinds of cpu cooling....passive and active air cooled then liquid cooled. Most everyone uses active air cooling....a heat sink with a powered fan. Either a stock cooler or OEM supplied if a retail purchase or aftermarket cooler.
