close 2 tabs

This is a discussion on close 2 tabs within the Mozilla/Firefox Browsers forums, part of the Tech Support Forum category. When using mozilla and I just want to close 1 tab I get the message close 2 tabs no alternitive

When using mozilla and I just want to close 1 tab I get the message close 2 tabs no alternitive choice when I click on close 2 tabs it takes me right off the internet most annoying. How do I just close 1 tab.

Manually by clicking the X on the tab.

Where is the X on the tab or where is the tab? What is a tab is it a page?

IE7 tabs
About the tabs for IE7, can they be closed by other methods except closing them all individually in the tab heading? such as, closing a specific tab with the close button in the right corner, instead of closing all tabs. I dont want to use IE8 or any other browser.

[SOLVED] Non-visible Tabs!!!
I installed some updates (the yellow shield with the exclamation mark). After i rebooted the computer, there were tabs, proved by checking the quicktab (CTRL+Q) and the duplicate tab (CTRL+K). However, all I can see is: the menu bar status bar command bar favourites bar compatibility view...
