Went to speed-battle.com to test my browsers - all latest versions of Safari, Firefox, Chrome. Safari tested much faster than both other browsers. Firefox tested slowest.

What?! Since when did Safari become a fast browser?!

It's too bad all these browsers can not combine their strengths. I have to stick with bloated Firefox.

Did you disable all your addons and make sure your plugins are up to date (click here) before running the tests in Firefox and Chrome?

Sure did. Disabled them all before the test. It's odd that Safari would be faster.

I will get some screen shots up hopefully tonight. Will be a busy night and weekend, however.

Well, thanx, I went 2 the link u gave us and my OVERALL SCORE is 66.37. Isn't bad. Right? I'm using Chrome. Yeah. And I really don't think Safari is faster. That's bizarre.

Glad you replied to this, Kou Dou - I forgot all about this!

I find little difference in any of them. The only reason I use Firefox is it has so many more features.

I use Firefox for the security, but I like Chrome the best.

Just find it so strange that Safari is faster...

Very strange. Safari's javascript engine is generally considered one of the slowest, and Chrome's V8 the fastest.

Try some other tests that measure different aspects of the browser's performance, like startup times, RAM usage, page load times, standards compliance, etc. It could be that this particular test is more suited to the way Safari works, so the results shouldn't be relied on too heavily without taking other considerations into account.
