I am having problems printing from my HP Envy 5660. When I could get it to print, the print was so small you would need a magnifying glass to read it. Then I got the message "Printer is in error state". No explanation was given.

I have done the following:

Deleted 5660 from Printers in Device Manager
Restart

Uninstalled HP printer software
Restart

Installed latest HP printer software
Restart

I am on an HP laptop with Windows 10.

The problem still exists. The only message I get is "Printer is in error state". This is extremely frustrating, and any assistance is much appreciated.

Update: Don't really know what was causing the "Printer in error state". When I restored my system to May 2nd, print is now working on everything except PDF files. When I try to print a PDF file, the print is so small it is almost unreadable. The font size, etc. is just fine when I print other formats I have tried changing parameters, but the error persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can change the Font size: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJ...r/td-p/6953803 If printing from a browser you can Zoom in or Out to adjust the page size.

"Normal" printing goes just fine. My problem occurs when trying to print a PDF file. In that case, the printer seems to "loose" fonts and prints so small you can barely read it. The Adobe reader I have does not have the options mentioned in the link in your post. But any further suggestions are certainly welcomed.

Thanks
