Dear TechSupportForum Moderators.

I would like to purchase gaming laptop in the $3,500 price range.
I know the cpu and graphics will be the bulk of the cost. But my actual question is..

How big can I go with internal-harddrives? maybe 2 of them?

Is *8 terabytes* a possibility. also. I how much info can I store in the Windows 10 Video and Music operating system files, because, I use them on my Smart TV.

Hope this doesn't get complicated.
Respectfully
Searda

The capacity of the HDD is based on the specs of the motherboard, whatever maximum size it supports, is the largest internal drive you can get.
Rather then get an expensive 8TB drive for a laptop, get an 8TB External USB HDD for storage. If your new laptop has room for 2 drives, get an SSD or NVME drive for the Windows OS and programs and get a Mechanical HDD or a 1TB SSD for storage.
You never want to put all of your eggs in one basket, keep the OS and the Storage drives separate. If anything happens to the OS drive you can easily replace it or reinstall Windows and not loose any of your personal Stored drives.

IMHO laptops are not suited well for gaming. If you are a serious gamer, it would be wiser to invest in a gaming desktop then a laptop, mainly over heat issues.
