Please note, this is just to assist you in trying to get logs. I currently have as many open topics as I can effectively handle, so please don't post the logs here.

What OS is this?

What happens when you attempt to run DDS? Does a command window open, then close? Not open at all? Open but no progress indicated?

Delete your existing version of DDS, and download fresh copy from one of these links.

here, here

Let me know if that works.

My operating system is Windows Vista.

When I opened DDS, the command window opened, the run dots would start moving showing the progress, and then the window would close.

I was able to get the 2 logs from one of the versions you provided and will continue the process of "Read this before posting for malware removal help." Thanks.

I won't post the logs here, I promise, but how do I download GMER Rootkit Scanner without it loading as an Itunes file?

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. Why is iTunes grabbing control of exe files?

Are you selecting Save when you download the file, not Run?

Try this direct link...

Download GMER Rootkit Scanner from here to your desktop.

I believe I was selecting Save when I downloaded the file. Thanks. Got it.

When I try to zip the attach.txt and ark.txt files, an Itunes music file is created. I downloaded a copy of winzip and it still creates Itunes music files. How should I attach the 2 txt files to my post.

Just attach them as .txt files. That will be fine.

Sounds as though iTunes is being overly assertive. You may want to consider going into it's Options, and see if there's a way to regain control of some of these file extensions...but that's for another thread.
