Hi

We are planning to use XFIRE and Cairngorm/PureMVc in our project. From the sites we understood that these are open source frameworks.Do we get any issues regarding license or any charges if we use XFIRE for deployment in production environment.

Thanks,
Aparajitha.

My apologies if I'm off the mark on this, but this is the way I understand it.

Even Open Source products can present licensing issues if you're in a business environment. If the software packages are protected in some fashion, they will almost always contain an End License User Agreement (EULA.) You will likely find the EULA when you install the product. Print and/or read it and see what it says regarding businesses.

If a product does not contain a EULA, the website you obtain the product from should contain the information you are looking for.

If none of the above are true, the issuers of the code are apparently not worried about it and I would use it without issue.
