Back up your registry first and then try:

Run Regedit, find HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Mouse.
Delete the value data in DoubleClickHeight, DoubleClickWidth and DoubleClickSensitivity.

Control Panel, Mouse, Doubleclick speed, move the pointer to a mid position.

There are thousands of settings in the registry. If you didn't backup your registry before you changed it - there's no telling what did this.

My System

am I missing something here or have I read the problem wrong?

do your folders open if you single click on them? or are they not opening at all?

if they open with a single click and you want them to open with a double click follow these instructions

control panel > appearance & themes > folder options > select open with double click.

mrtechsupport, what partcular 'download' did you use from that site to fix your problem. There are a number of places and things covered in that thread.

It would help us to evaluate what you had versus what you used.

Thanks.

Look at Keifermail answer.. and he post a download link. Here's the download link he upload: Download Trojan Remover AND smitfraudfixtool.com (but Smithfraudfix link has no download link. I prefer to search smithfraudfix in the internet and download it) I use this and It fix my problem and not only that.. It fix my system volume without not requesting it. Thanks :)

mrtechsupport, anyone with some 'ODD' issue that gets it fixed through a random malware remover has a HIGH likliehood of still having some bad guys in the works. Very few clean everything well.

That's why this site has a Professional grade virus forum and crew - to help verify that all such things are COMPLETELY removed.

Not for me particularly. Trojan finders are a dime a dozen. I have adequate protection and routinely scan my comp.

I did look into that program, and it seems legitimite. Other than that, I have nothing to say.
