Uninstall it, restart the computer, if you don't have it, download version 6 Download Ulead Photo Express free

I've read that doesn't work. If I reload will I lose my pictures?

Where did you here that it doesn't work? This version is for XP.
Ulead is just a photo editor. When you saved your pictures, if you saved them as a .jpg, or .tft etc, any picture viewer will be able to open and view your pictures. So, uninstalling Ulead will have no effect on your saved pictures.
There are free photo editing programs you can use instead like Irfanview

have to agree Irfanview is my choice for editing/and converting pics (I love that you can convert to *.ico format

Depending on what build of Windows 10 you have, you should have MS Paint3D
