I have a toshiba laptop. Up until a few days ago I had no problem with my touchpad working. After I returned one day and found my cat was laying on top of my keyboard, my touchpad will not work when my desktop fully loads with my user account. I can only use my cursor arrows to move the cursor and not my touchpad and only with limited movements. On the other user accounts the touchpad works fine with no problems at all. Is there someway my cat locked something on my keyboard that I don't know about??

Hi barbs1of2 Welcome to TSF.

It is possible that your cat disabled the touchpad.

Have a look on your function keys (F1, F2 etc) and find the one with what looks like the touchpad drawn on it. On my laptop, it's on the F5 key and it looks like a rectangle with two small ovals underneath it.

Press the Fn key + the function key which has the touchpad drawn on it.
E.g. For me it would be Fn + F5

That should enable it.
