Getting stop error when booting up. ran recovery console did chkdsk and found one or more errors on the volume. Ran chkdsk /r for a repair and it took a while to run but didn't seem to do anything. Re-booted and the same error. Need help please.
Thanx.
There is a hardware problem on your computer. On another computer download the ISO image for Seatools in my signature. Burn the image to CD using IMGBurn also in my signature. Boot off of the newly created CD and run the Short and Long tests on the drive. If either test fails, the HDD needs to be replaced.
If that does no have any errors, then download the ISO image for Memtest in my signature, burn with IMGBurn. Remove all but one stick of RAM. Boot off of the newly created CD and run the tests on each stick of RAM separately.
spunk.funk u hit the nail right on the head, I ran the seatools test and it failed so it looks like I will be replacing the hd. Thanx again for all ur help its mich appreciated.
