I'm not sure why but a few months ago my computer at work has been VERY slow when starting up. It always seems to get stuck when XP says "Loading personal settings" or "Loading custom settings".

Dell Dimension 5150
XP Professional Ver. 2002 SP 3
Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2.99 GHz, 1.49 GB of RAM

certain other processes are very slow (ie. opening my computer properties, opening MSOutlook) this may be unrelated. If so, let me know so I can post in the appropriate place.

Thank you.

Shouldn't you be seeing the it dept or your administrator about this since it is a work computer

Thank you for your concern. It's a small company, I am my own IT.
