SATA drives and XP

I am building a new computer and have installed a Seagate SATA HD. When I boot to the WinXP CD to install XP, and press F6 and point it to the diskette that has the drivers and choose the driver, it goes through the install until it gets to the list of hard drives and it says that I do not have any hard drives installed.

I have confirmed that the drive is installed properly. BIOS is recognizing it and if I put an IDE drive with XP on the machine, under disk management, it also recognizes the drive.

Any ideas on why the XP install program doesn't recognize the drive? Thanks!

With SATA drives you must choose to boot from CD first (BIOS boot order) and SCSI (usually) second, if you have IDE devices in the list it wont see the SATA drive.
Also make sure the SATA controller is enabled in the BIOS, obvious I know but we've all done it.
