I'm running Lenovo 32-bit on Win XP and for awhile keep getting freezing and script issues with message
>>>>
"plugin-container.exe has encountered a problem needs to close....etc..."

I read that the Adobe Shockwave Flash(27.0.0.130) in Firefox(my browser) needs updating, then i read that in fact in you need to go into Mozilla Firefox ADD ON's and you should uncheck the box that shows
"Enabled Adobe Flash Protected".Basically disabling it.
So it can't be both options can it? So who is right on this and what should i do.
Or are there other reasons i am getting plug-incontainer exe issues?

I've read this,it says i have latest adobe flash version as i said above.
I'm asking about Adobe Shock Flash, that;s not the same thing.
I have unchecked the box for Adobe Shock Player because i'm getting the plug-in container .exe error message. It's a different type of crash,it's more of a freeze.
But my question was should that box be unchecked where it says to enable shockwave or not?

Uninstall the version of Shockwave player that you have using their Uninstaller, then Download the latest version of Shockwave, here is more info and links to download: https://helpx.adobe.com/shockwave/kb...indows-xp.html

I uninstall the previous shockwave but when i try downloading the latest version,it is bringing me to some site in Canada and the download isn't working.
it brings me(redirects me) to some Creative Adobe Cloud site which has options of individuals or schools and no download occurs.I see the standard Adobe Shockwave paler site but when i press download load button as i said,i am redirected to this Creatice Cloud center by Adobe.

Mot sure though that this is right one as i'm not on Netscape but Firefox.

Uninstall that version, and install the latest version of Shockwave player from Adobe: https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Cant install that version from the link you gave.As i indicated in early post,i get "DOWNLOAD" but it redirects to this site Adobe Canada: Creative, marketing and document management solutions ad no download occurs. I'm in Canada but that has nothing to do with the download so i don't know what's going on. I google this problem and apparently i am not alone
others cannot download the Adobe Shock also.
Do you have a US site or alternate site?

The site you gave me allowed me to uninstall that Shock Flash version successfully but the download of the new one you give as i say, redirects to Adobe Canada, some Creative Marleting and no download occurs.Very weird.
I need some sort of alternate site where i can download that version.

Spunk,
I'm chking my ADD on's in Firfox and it shows that i have installed
Shockwave Flash 27.0.0.130 version; BUT i unchecked the Ebnable Adobe Flash Protected box.

No not really, videos do work but hang after awhile. i am still getting the plugin-in container exe error message when running them after awhile. Then i get prompted to continue the plugin or end it.Sometimes if i wait long enough then it goes away. So i enabled the Adobe Flash protection box to see if that makes a difference.I had it off all day yesrerday, but it didn't make much of a difference.
As i said in previous posts, i read on Firefox itself that if you"unchecked' that box that might help resolve the issue, but i doubt it.
I also get this error message>>>>>

" undefined
Info: This browser does not allow you to watch this video. ry to update your browser or use a different browser"<<<<<<

I'm using Firefox and it gets updates all the time so how can it ask tell me that this browser doesn't allow me to view it?These would be videos on CNN that i can't view. I suspect that maybe it is Win XP that is causing this,is this possible?
You never answered my question as to why when i go to that link(https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/) i am able to uninstall a version of ShockFlash but when i try to download the latest version,it takes me to this Creative Adobe site and the download is not completed.
As i said i have according to Firefox ADD on's, Shockwave Flash 27.0.0.130 version is that the latest then?
Confused.

Apparently from what i have been reading re; Flash Player, The message is clear - my browser isn't supported. Microsoft dropped support for XP over 2 years ago as we know, and it's no longer supported by the major browser vendors and that appears to be CNN(reason why i cannot play videos on that site is from the content, not Flash Player. ), exception being Firefox ESR which is my version, and according Firefox is ending support for Windows XP that most likely will end at the end of this month.
So i think from checking out Adobe's sites,it looks like that the culrpit is Win XP,it's a dinosaur.I'm trying to hold on to that child i have loved so much, but it's time for me to allow it to leave home!
