My System

Go to Start/Run and type devmgmt.msc and press enter. In the Device Manager do you see any devices with yellow marks, especially under Network Adapters for your Wifi adapter? If so, if you have a name brand computer (Dell, HP etc) then go to the manufacturers support/download drivers site and type in your service tag# or your make and model # and download the specific Wireless Network Adapter for your particular computer.

I would recommend using the Windows wireless connection program and uninstalling the Intel software, unless you really want the Intel program for some reason. I've found Windows to be much more reliable.
