Alright, well there are a couple things you can try, and another thing if you have the parts around to use.
First, make sure you have the latest drivers, available at nvidia.com
Download and run SpeedFan
and make sure you're CPU isn't overheating.
If you have another video card laying around, you could try it in the computer, just to make sure it isn't your video card.
