Several days ago my old IBM Thinkpad was infected by some sort of malware. I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and I went to go read while it searched and destroyed. When I came back the computer had restarted so I wasn't sure if it solved the problem or not, but when I logged on there seemed to be no traces of the virus. A few days later, a bunch of things have been happening to my computer. It runs incredibly slow, there are random popups all the time, my firewall is disabled seconds after I enable it, and I get IP Address Conflicts every 10 seconds. Also, it constantly shows the pointer with the hourglass, even when I'm just at the desktop and nothing. I tried to run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware again and it crashed before it could finish the scan. I then ran 3 scans from Advanced SystemCAre Free and it said I was clean, so I tried to install Service Pack 3 to see if that would do anything. After all the scans and virus removals and service pack 3, nothing has helped. And after I decided to install SP3, all the text on the computer got switched to a different font and it looks weird. If there is any tips you could give me, I would love to here them. Thank you.

Boot into Safe Mode with Networking, run Malwarebytes let it update and run it again.
