SP2

All fullscreen games I play freezes. the time it takes varies. Sometimes after 2 minutes, other times after 2 hours etc.

First the screen is sort of "stretched" and I can hardly see the game, some parts of the screen are completly black, others got different colours.

And then if I try alt+tab or ctrl+alt+delete out it freezes up completly and I have to restart the computer. It does eventually freeze by itself (from 10sec to over a minute without doing anything it can randomly completly freeze.)

I have searched a little to try and find someone with the same problem, I did find one, and he got suggestions for motherboard and BIOS. But if that is the problem I would like directions as to how I can update these.

I don't know what to categorize this problem as, so any information I havn't given which would be good to have. Please give me a list and I will try to find everything.

Where do I check what my brand and wattage are, and where I check my temps and voltages?

In addition, the problem hasn't always existed. So I don't think it is my hardware that is the problem, it was after I reinstalled my xp sp2 that it occured.

But, for the first time ever in my now 6 months or so with this problem I managed to get out of the fullscreen game without the computer freezing.
And it told me that the "nv4_disp screendriver doesn't work properly." (That is my best attempt at a translation from my own language. If screendriver is confusing then maybe monitordriver, displaydriver, etc is more informative.).

So if someone can tell me how I can fix that I would hope it solves my problem.

Check the label on the side of the PSU for the brand and wattage.

You can get the temps and voltage from the BIOS.

After reinstalling Windows did you update all the Drivers (chipset, graphics, etc)
