Hi there,
I have been using the Microsoft speech recognition within MS Word XP as means of inputting text. All works well, but on my other computer I am able to extend support of advanced text services to all programs, so i can talk to any program that allows text input. However, on this computer, I am unable to do this.
The setting should be under Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Languages Tab - Details - Advanced Tab
But when I get to the language details box, there is no advanced tab. Why isn't it there, and how can I get it?
Thanks a lot,
Stuart

Are you running Windows XP SP1 or later on the computer that doesn't have the advanced tab?

Yeap, you need at least SP1 to get Extended Support of Advanced Text Services.
