Dear Reviewers,

Hi there, I am running an old PC with Windows XP SP2, I know it is an outdated version of windows, but I have to stick to it for our old PC, now I downloaded some free programs (.exe setup files), and after finishing the downloads, I couldn't open/run any of these .exe files, the strange part is that when I double click nothing happens at all, I mean no messages are displayed and no programs seem to appear in the task manager, Please help me, I don't know what to do.

NB: Some other .exe files open well !

thanks alot
my regards,

The first thing you should do is update XP to Service Pack 3 Download Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3 - MajorGeeks then see how it goes

Agreed!

As with any version of Windows, you do need to have the latest service pack (and available updates), otherwise, how can we complain to M$ that it doesn't work properly?

we try to always suggest apps that are free to download and use. We do not suggest programs that are infected with malware or "un-clean"

If this solved your problem, Please mark this thread Solved in the Thread Tools at the top.
