I would like to download free software on my xp machine that will automatically create a slideshow out of a folder of images so that my desktop background continually changes. Is there such a thing?

I want something that will randomly switch pics as opposed to me having to do it manually each time through the control panel (setting desktop background).

Webshots Desktop, get it from Webshots - Free Wallpaper, Desktop Wallpaper and Free Screensavers. It's been almost a decade since I last used it, but I remember it had the option to add your own collection/library of locally stored wallpapers. I have no idea what the latest free version allows, but if it doesn't do as desired, try searching for an older version.

I would click it, and then it would go to my desktop, just like the desktop in any other windows. Now...
