Few days ago some electronic components inside the Power Supply burnt off and were replaced with new ones after that.

But from then on, every time i turn on my computer it will display "Disc boot failure. Please insert system disc and press enter."

So i need to insert the system disc every time i turn on my PC. Why is this happening? Can anyone help me?

when the power supply goes it can take just about anything else with it
check the cable to the hard drive had not been dislodged whilst fitting the psu
check that it is listed in the bios

when performing this, will all data be lost?

after downloading the program, it will boot the diagnostic program by itself when the system restarts?

the data is safe
you have to put it on disk and then boot from the disk
