Exclamation

After I shut down my system - Start - Turn Off Computer - Turn Off, my computer has booted up "by it self" twice now. I turned it off last night before I went to bed and wake up and its at the log in screen. Before I went to church this morning, I turned it off and made sure it was off. Then, I come home, and its back at the log in screen. Nobody has touched it - nobody's been here. I have a computer ghost :x

Check and make sure that your computer isn't set to wake up with LAN activitie, also that it is not set to wake up for Maintenance routines. These options are usually in the CMOS under the power saving options. Exactly what menu they are under is motherboard dependant. With more information I might be able to give you the full menu paths for the above options.

You might also download and run Ad Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy to make sure that you didn't pickup some spyware that is turning your computer on in order to run.

Sorry, I just relooked on your post, the Gigabyte motherboard should have the power setting options under the Advanced CMOS menu - hit DEL key at boot up while the computer is counting memory - use your arrow keys to navigate to the Advanced Tab, check your power saving settings - turn off Wake on Lan or Wake on Modem, exit menu (ESC) and save and exit.
