Hi gurus,

I want to know how to check for the existence of a given network folder in a DOS batch script.

If the folder were local, I can use the construct "if exist %FOLDER%\NUL do ..."

But this construct does not work for network folders (UNC paths). That is, if FOLDER is set to a value such as "\\isis\root\<username>" .... I cannot verify the existence of a folder for a given user using the above construct.

Am I out of luck? I have to use DOS batch script ... I don't want to reinvent the wheel and rewrite all existing batch files .....

Thanks for any help.
