Hi Mrmars...

so when you right click on your CD/DVD drive and select Properties and then the AutoPlay tab, each of the content types (Music files, pictures, video files etc) has a check in 'Prompt me each time to choose an action'?

If this is the way it should be I'll double check when I get home. Any other settings I should be aware of before I check later..?

Can check the registry too:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom

Ensure that 'AutoRun' has the value of 1

and:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Check that 'NoDriveTypeAutoRun' has a value of 91 00 00 00. If it isn't right click it, select Modify and enter 91, select 'hexadecimal' then click ok.

Hope that helps :)

Will these registry suggestions cover both of my disk drives?
