serious problem

Hi there,

A very wierd thing has just happened whilst watching an avi file (documentary) on my computer. The screen went blue then I was informed that there was a very serious problem with my computer. I think it said something about sys. Bio. My apologies for the lack of info but I panicked and restarted the computer straight a way as was asked. I stupidly didn't write any information down.

The computer is now acting really strange and very slow.

Hi there,

I posted this log yeasterday. Unfortunately, I tried to turn on my computer this morning and it took ten attempts to restart. Each time the computer opened on the page that asks you if you want to start in safe mode, last know configuration, or start windows automatically (sorry, I don't know the technical term for this page). I fear 'somethings rotten in denmark' here. I'm in a panic as I'm in the middle of writing a 20,000 word piece which is due in this week!! EEK. Please could you let me know if my computer is ok? Emma,

I see nothing in the logs. This sounds like a Windows issue since it gave you a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). Check your "Event Viewer" logs in the Admin control panel and see if it's faulting a program. If you get that restart error again...choose "last known good configuration" and see if it stops.

Otherwise I will need to know the excate error message "Word for Word" your getting.
