If you do not have the program, HijackThis in your machine, you would have to download it using another computer. Save it onto a floppy/cd & transfer it to the infected machine.

Obtain the log & post it here.

I cleaned you up less than a month ago. How did you get to such a deplorable state so quickly? Please be more careful when downloading & try to stay away from dubious sites.

* * * * * * ADDITIONAL DOWNLOADS * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Download & install CleanUp.exe (not recommended for WinXP64)

Download LSPFix.exe

It is IMPORTANT that you don't miss a step & perform everything in the correct order.

* * * * * * DISABLING SERVICES * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Click Start -> Run - type SERVICES.MSC & then click on the OK button
  1. Locate the service - Windows Smrss Service
  2. Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog.
    - Change the Startup type to Disabled & then click on the Apply button
    - Stop the service by using the Stop button.
  3. Then start HiJackThis & go to Config... -> Misc.Tools -> Delete an NT service
  4. In the popup box that appears, copy/paste Service name
  5. Click on the OK button & answer No if prompted to reboot
Repeat steps 1-5 for these other services :-
  • Network Monitor

* * * * * * UN-INSTALLING PROGRAMS * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the following programs:
  • NewDotNet
    SurfSideKick 3
If you cannot find an add/remove entry for SurfSideKick, do this instead...

GO to Start > Run - type the following in & click OK

C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\Ssk.exe /u

Follow the prompts given to uninstall it.

* * * * * * FIXING ENTRIES WITH HIJACKTHIS * * * * * * * * * *

You have HijackThis in a zipped archive. Extract it to it's own folder at C:\Program files\HijackThis. Then do a HijackThis scan & place a check next to these items and select "Fix checked":

* * * * * * * *

Whilst running Hijackthis, verify if these entries still exist:
O10 - Hijacked Internet access by New.Net

If they exist, we would be required to run LSPFix.exe

Instructions for using LSPFix
  1. Double click on LSPFix.exe to run it.
  2. Once running, you will be required to tick the disclaimer - "I know what I'm doing".
  3. You'll find a windows with 2 panes.
    In the left pane which is labeled 'Keep', select all instances of this file:
    • newdotnet.dll
  4. Then click on the arrow pointing to the right, >>.
    This will move the entry to the right pane labeled 'Remove'
  5. Click the Finish button to complete the fix.
Only entries similar to newdotnet.dll need to be removed. If you see any other entries in the right pane, move them back to the "Keep" pane & post the filenames to inform me.

* * * * * * RESTART WINDOWS IN SAFE MODE * * * * * * * * * *

1. Restart your computer
2. After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3. Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4. Select the option to run Windows in Safe Mode.

* * * * * * DELETING FILES/FOLDERS * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

If you have not done so already, please enable the viewing of Hidden files
From Windows Explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View tab.
  • Tick - 'Show hidden files and folder'
  • Untick - 'Hide file extensions for known types'
  • Untick - 'Hide protected operating system files'
  • Click Yes to confirm & then click OK
Locate and delete the following files/folders: (let me know if you fail to find/delete any)
  • C:\WINDOWS\system32\hpsw.exe
    C:\windows\eee2.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\wgse.exe
    C:\Program Files\Network Monitor\netmon.exe
    C:\PROGRA~1\Jalmp\jalmp.dll
    C:\Program Files\NewDotNet\
    C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winjrs32.dll
    C:\Program Files\Network Monitor\netmon.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe

* * * * * * PURGING TEMP FOLDERS * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Run Cleanup! using the following configuration:

1. Click Options...
2. Set the slider initially to Standard CleanUp!
3. Uncheck the following:
  • Delete Newsgroup cache
  • Delete Newsgroup Subscriptions
  • Scan local drives for temporary files
4. Click OK
5. Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.
6. Do NOT reboot/logoff if prompted.

* CleanUp! will not create any backups!!

* * * * * * RUNNING ADDITIONAL SCANNERS * * * * * * * * * * *

Run Ewido :(...it's important that all windows must be closed)
  • Click Scanner
  • Click Complete System Scan to begin scanning.
  • Click OK when prompted to clean files
With the first file it prompts to clean, select the option:
  • "Perform action on all infections"
  • .Choose clean and click OK.
Once finished, click the Save report button & save the report to your desktop

* * * * * * REBOOT TO NORMAL MODE * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Establish an internet connection & perform an online scan with Internet Explorer at Kaspersky Online Scanner

Answer Yes, when prompted to install an ActiveX component.
  • The program will then begin downloading the latest definition files.
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Locate the Scan Settings button & configure to:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
      • Extended
    • Scan Options:
      • Scan Archives
      • Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK & have it scan My Computer
  • Once the scan is complete, it will display if your system has been infected. It does not provide an option to clean/disinfect. We only require a report from it.
  • Click the Save as Text button to save the file to your desktop so that you may post it in your next reply
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

* * * * * * CHECK LIST * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

In your next post, please include fresh logs from:
  • HiJackThis log
  • Online Scan
  • Ewido
Please provide details of any problems you encountered whilst performing the above steps & update us on how the computer behaves now

1. c:\windows\eee2.exe

I wasnt able to delethe these files

Did you follow my instructions to the letter? The fix must be carried out in the order/sequence I've listed.

The HijackThis log appears to be erronous. Please re-post another HJT log.

What type of error message did Kaspersky give you?

I gave Yes to Install ActiveX control, but it wouldnt get started. It just says

"Warning: if you have installed Kaspersky On-line Scanner BETA, please manually uninstall it using "Add/Remove Programs" before installing this version! Otherwise this version will not function correctly."

Have Hijackthis fix these:

O2 - BHO: Trecker Class - {39C78B50-7E98-4aa0-B007-D83114EA6E0F} - C:\PROGRA~1\Jalmp\jalmp.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [susse] "C:\WINDOWS\system32\hpsw.exe"
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: repairs302972994.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winjrs32 - winjrs32.dll (file missing)

Next, do an online scan at Panda ActiveScan
  1. Click Scan your PC & a 'pop up' window shall appear. *ensure that your pop up blocker doesn't block it
  2. Click Scan Now
  3. Enter your e-mail address & click Scan Now ...begins downloading 8 MB Panda's ActiveX controls
Begin the scan by selecting My Computer
  • If it finds any malware, it will offer you a report.
  • Please ignore any entry it finds and the offer to buy the program to remove the entry, as we will address this later.
  • Click on see report. Then click Save report
Post the contents of the report in your next reply

*You needn't remain online while it's doing the scan but you have to re-connect after it has finished to see the report.
*Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan

Please reboot before posting a fresh HJT log

Start HiJackThis & go to Config>Misc.Tools> Delete a file on reboot...
  1. In the popup box that appears, copy/paste in:
    • c:\windows\system32\repairs302972994.dll
  2. Click the Open button.
  3. Click YES when prompted to restart your computer.

Hmmm, this seems to be a recent change. Same thing happened with another user except that it was with Kaspersky. Please do this...

From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Internet Options.
  • Select the Security tab
    • Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
    • Select Custom Level .
      • Change 'Download unsigned ActiveX controls' to Prompt
      • Click on the OK button.
    • If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
  • Select OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
Please undo that setting after you have completed the Panda scan.

I shall require a fresh HJT log after this.

When I asked you to uninstall SurfSideKick 3 earlier on, did you run into any trouble?

There should be a part where you have to key in some coded numbers. Did that happen for you?

Please read this post completely before begining the fix.

Right click on this & choose "Save As..." DelO15Domains.inf - DelO15Domains.inf

Right click on this & select 'Save As' - DNSManual.bat
Doubleclick on DNSManual.bat & allow it to run.

Install & update SpywareBlaster with the latest definitions.
After you have updated, click the button - enable protection for all unprotected items

From within the folder, double-click install.bat
Select Option #2 - Install the new IE-SPYAD list.
Then return to the main menu.

Please show me what you mean by that. If possible, a screenshot would be most helpful

Let's try the Kaspersky online scanner again (ref to post #4). If it gives you an error message, please show it to me.

The screenshot attached looks as if you selected all the icons. That does not seem to be the work of malware. More like faulty hardware or corrupted drivers.

Go to Safe Mode & tell me if the same situation exist.
