My System

ried

thanks ried, what a load of my back(vice versa). I feel terrible that the big man "microbell" went to his extreme and i messed up, i didnt want to tell him, I thank you for saving his aggravation towards me. . Also i didnt think there was much surfing other then me playing my game. I hope those 30 findings isnt a big deal considering it was only finding 6 before in this thread. But if you say so??You guys know best. Oh yeah did you understand that error report i got from past post? also for knowledge i did do your system recover instructions yesterday just as i did now but then i rebooted and hit the Start button.
Point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore. then even if i did (which i wasnt sure) go back in time the restore was previosly set january 18 (just before reboot)??? hope i didnt confuse you. thanks again you saved me twice. If my sources are correct.

My System

okay first any kapersky or kill box i find in start>search because i didnt think i need them anymore (there not installed on computer). also i have some weird folders in my c:\ windows folder about 40 or so. Also weatherbug came up in my search but dont think its installed but i want to remove so nobdy else or myself accidently opens it and creates mess. I was gonna just post a little at a time about unfamiliar folders i find to make it easier. that start>search wont let me delete 3 kill box folders??? my computer is a little slow i have 44 processes runnin and not sure if this is why? this computer is 3 months old and should be fairly empty? and i would lide to try cleaning up. also that error report from earlier???can i get any info on that maybe its a hardwre problem??

Go ahead and delete the weatherbug folder. In all honesty, don't worry about unfamiliar folders. You will almost always see folders that are unfamiliar to you as so many files/folders are involved in the running of XP and any of the software you have installed. Those folders take up little room and are really of no consequence in system performance as long as they are not malware related.

For performance issues, talk to the XP forum again. What you consider slow, may not be at all..it depends on the size of your hard drive, how much memory you have, etc. You can also ask them about the error message you got earlier.
