malicious something or other!!!!
Hello there.
I think something has found its way into my system I just donloaded a simple wav and a window poped up saying 'External protocol request' so I clicked on cancel ut I'm now a little suspicious. I would reccommend that you Subscribe to this thread so you are notified of any replies via email. To do this click Thread Tools, then click Subscribe to this Thread. Make sure it is set to Instant Notification, then click Subscribe.
Please go to Jotti File Scan. Click Browse then browse to this file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Poetry.scr Click Open, then click Submit. copy and paste the results of the scan here. Trend Micro™ Anti-Spyware for the Web Utility (by clicking the "Scan and Clean your PC" button).
I then need you to repeat the same procedure above again... using the TrendMicro tool. I need the log from the second scan/clean...NOT the first...as this will contain what’s left in the system. Please open IE and go to Kaspersky WebScanner Next Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan |
