Do you still get 40 -45 infections with each new scan?
If you haven't done a recent scan yet, please try the online scan by Kaspersky Perform an online scan with Internet Explorer with Kaspersky WebScanner Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Anti-Virus Web Scanner You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
* Turn off the real time scanner of any existing antivirus program while performing the online scan PS..If you use Outlook, dont be suprised if it finds a lot of infected files.

I just wanted you know that so when you read this I did not want you to think I was cutting cornors. Like I stated before its from A0013011 to A0019998.exe Should I manually delete the first 8 infected files or should I wait and let an anti-virus delete them for me? |

Stephanie,
Yeesh! What have you been feeding your computer? You can delete these :(tell me if there's any you couldn't delete) C:\Documents and Settings\Stephanie Ho\Desktop\Cursors\mousep.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Stephanie Ho\Desktop\Cursors\roki.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Stephanie Ho\Desktop\Internet\bluebt.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Stephanie Ho\Desktop\Internet\mulan45.exe Are all the rest from the System Volume information folder? If so, you needn't post them. This will take care of all of them... Go to Start >> Run - type control sysdm.cpl,,4 & press Enter
Let me know if you survived the blitze

Now that your system is clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
Update all these programs regularly. Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released. Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically. Here are some additional utilities that will further enhance your safety.
To find out more information about how you got infected in the first place and some great guidelines to follow to prevent future infections you can read this article by Tony Klein After doing all these, your system will be optimised against future threats. It's okay to delete the Hijack This folder in a couple weeks if everything is working okay. Have a safe & happy computing day. ![]() Please respond to this thread one more time so we can mark this thread as resolved.
