Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order it is mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes. You should 'not' have any open browsers when you are following the procedures below.
Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab: * Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders. * Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option. * Click Yes to confirm and then click OK. For the options that you checked/enabled earlier, you may uncheck them after your log is clean. If we ask you to fix a program that you use or want to keep, please post back saying that (we don't know every program that exists, so we may tell you to delete a program that we think is bad to keep). Make sure you downloaded, installed, updated and ran these programs already - Ad-aware, Spybot and CWShredder. If you didn't, do them now. Be sure to have them FIX any problems they may find. For more information, go to http://www.greyknight17.com/spyware.htm Restart your computer and boot into Safe Mode by hitting the F8 key repeatedly until a menu shows up (and choose Safe Mode from the list). In some systems, this may be the F5 key, so try that if F8 doesn't work. Make sure to close any open browsers. Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist: MyWay Speed Bar Run a scan in HijackThis. Check each of the following and hit 'Fix checked' (after checking them) if they still exist (make sure not to miss any): R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://bfc.myway.com/search/de_srchlft.html R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell4me.com/myway R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.dell4me.com/myway R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {4D25F926-B9FE-4682-BF72-8AB8210D6D75} - C:\Program Files\MyWaySA\SrchAsDe\1.bin\deSrcAs.dll Delete the following Files/Folders (delete folders if no filename is specified) according to their directory (if none, just do a search for them) and delete them if they exist: C:\Program Files\MyWaySA Restart and run a new HijackThis scan. Save the log file and post it here. Please download Trend Micro™ Anti-Spyware for the Web Utility (by clicking the "Scan and Clean your PC" button).
Run a scan using Panda ActiveScan . Be sure to select any AutoClean Feature. Post the log from the Panda scan here. In Firefox, you can set the browser to prompt you when a site wants to place a cookie on your system. Go to Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies and then choose the setting you want. Mine is set to ask me every time, and I have both boxes checked as well, Allow sites to set cookies, and , for the originating website only . Remember, there are important and friendly cookies out there too. You can create exceptions for these in FF if you want a blanket denial setting, but that can be time consuming.

Please do not create a new thread for each reply on the same system. Please keep all replies in this thread. You may want to bookmark this thread so that you more easily find it later.
Yes, if McAfee Firewall is active, then Windows Firewall should be off. Those 2 problems found by Spybot are not spyware, they are registry entries indicating a change in your Security Center Notification. Spybot is telling you that the Windows Security Center has been disabled to Notify you if your firewall and antivirus are not running. I checked with McAfee help center, and found that the McAfee progs turn off the Windows feature, so the notification by Spybot S&D would be normal. It appears that you can safely Ignore this notification. Just be sure to turn it back on if you Uninstall your McAfee programs. Well done. Your logs are clean. Any more issues? If not you should be good to go. We still have a few items to address. Reset hidden/system files and folders
Create a new System Restore point
Enable Windows Auto Update
Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programs:
If you do not have a firewall, here are 3 free ones available for personal use: In light of your recent troubles, I'm sure you'll like to avoid any future infections. Please take a look at these well written articles Please respond to this thread one more time so we can mark this thread as resolved.
